🔥 THE MIRROR WE DIDN’T ASK FOR

Druski’s mega-church pastor skit was comedy — but it wasn’t fiction.

It was a mirror.

The private jets.
The designer robes.
The manipulative altar calls.
The emotional theatrics.
The prosperity scripts.
The “God told me” sales pitch.

People laughed because they recognized it.

But the deeper issue isn’t the skit.

It’s how normal it felt.

🔥 THE EKKLESIA VS. THE INSTITUTION

Jesus never built a corporation.
He built an ekklesia — a called-out body of believers.

Paul didn’t plant brands.
He planted communities of discipline, accountability, sacrifice, and truth.

Yet modern American Christianity has traded:

• Discipleship for attendance
• Doctrine for agendas
• Repentance for relevance
• Authority for popularity
• Shepherds for CEOs

Druski’s skit works because we no longer recognize the real thing.

🔥 REVELATION’S WARNING WE IGNORE

Read Revelation chapters 1–3 and ask yourself:

Could Jesus distinguish these 1st century churches from his church today

Ephesus — lost its first love
Pergamum — compromised with culture
Thyatira — tolerated false teaching
Sardis — looked alive but was dead
Laodicea — rich, comfortable, and spiritually blind

These were not warnings to unbelievers.

They were warnings to the Ekklesia.

And America’s modern church looks disturbingly familiar.

🔥 FROM CHRIST’S DESIGN TO CULTURAL ABSURDITY

We now have:

• Church merch drops
• Pastors as influencers
• Sermons built for algorithms
• Worship engineered for applause
• Giving driven by guilt
• Holiness replaced with hype

Druski didn’t create the absurdity.

He simply exposed how normalized it has become.

🔥 THIS IS A CLARION CALL

This is not a call to abandon Christ.

It is a call to seriously challenge what American non-profit 501.C.3 church management has done to His ekklesia.

Jesus did not die to build entertainment centers.
He did not suffer to produce social clubs.
He did not rise to create brand platforms.

He established His ekklesia through the apostles —
a body marked by truth, humility, obedience, repentance, courage, and love.

🔥 HUMOR BECAME THE LAST PROPHET

Druski did what prophets once did.

He told the truth in a way people would actually listen.

Because when the church refuses to self-examine,
God allows the culture to hold up the mirror.

🔥 THE QUESTION FOR US — THROUGH SCRIPTURE

Are we part of the audience…
or part of the body?

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” — 1 Corinthians 12:27

“The eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I have no need of you.’” — 1 Corinthians 12:21

Are we consumers…
or disciples?

“Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.” — Luke 14:27

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” — Matthew 28:19

Are we watching the faith…
or walking in it?

“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” — James 1:22

Are we entertained…
or transformed?

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” — Romans 12:2

Are we comfortable…
or committed?

“If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” — Luke 9:23

Are we following Christ…
or following a brand?

“For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 4:5

Are we being trained to do the work of the ministry or coddled in Hallmark card comfort.

… for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ. – Ephesians 4:12

📖 WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL

“Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent (change your mind) and do the works you did at first.” — Revelation 2:5

Return to first love.
Return to truth.
Return to Christ.
Return to His design.

Not the American version.

The Biblical one.
