🔥 A CULTURE STRUGGLING TO DEFINE ORDER

America woke up today to another round of smash-and-grab robberies, another major city warning that police staffing has fallen below safe levels, and yet another courtroom showdown over whether minors should be allowed access to life-altering gender-transition procedures without full parental consent. From coast to coast, legislatures are battling over how to define biological sex in law, while departments tasked with maintaining public safety are being asked to navigate shifting mandates on use-of-force, identity recognition, and enforcement priorities.

These are not disconnected controversies — they are signs of a culture struggling to define truth, authority, and even the meaning of order itself.

🔥 AN ANCIENT WARNING FOR A MODERN PEOPLE

In 2 Chronicles 14 and 15, God’s interaction with Judah around 900 BC gives us a window into His unchanging character — and our present-day predicament.

King Asa “did what was good and right in the sight of the Lord.”

He didn’t manage decline.
He didn’t negotiate with corruption.
He confronted it.

He removed the foreign altars.
He tore down the pillars.
He cut down the Asherim — the institutionalized pagan sex cults of the day — and commanded Judah to seek the Lord God.

In other words:
He moved the culture from sexual and secular…
to sacred and Scriptural.

🔥 WHAT HAPPENS WHEN GOD IS ABANDONED?

Chronicles tells us plainly:

“For many days Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest and without law.”

And what followed?

“There was no peace… many disturbances afflicted all the inhabitants of the lands. Nation was crushed by nation, and city by city…”

That’s not just ancient history — that’s a check-engine light.

Distress is a clue.
Chaos is a symptom.

As G.K. Chesterton observed, when men stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing — they believe in anything.

A lack of:

  • Personal fellowship with the Father

  • Competent biblical teaching

  • Eternal truth

…doesn’t produce freedom.

It produces frustration, instability, and spiritual emptiness — individually and nationally.

🔥 THE SOLUTION ISN’T POLITICAL — IT’S PRACTICAL

Chronicles gives us the turning point:

“But in their distress they turned to the Lord God of Israel and sought Him…”

And the charge:

“Be strong and do not let your hands grow weak, for your work shall be rewarded.”

Fear is the mind-killer.
Courage compels us forward.

When they sought Him —
He let them find Him.

🧭 CLARITY MOMENT

National confusion often reflects spiritual drift.
Judah’s crisis was not caused by foreign policy failure —
but by abandoning fellowship with the Father and truth in His Word.

⚖️ MORAL CLARITY

We don’t restore order by redefining reality —
we restore it by returning to the One who defined it in the first place.

🏁 CLARITY CHECK

If distress is the fruit…
realignment is the root.

Seek Him while He may be found.

Run to win. Be God’s friend.
Remember—it pays to serve Jesus.
